This policy applies to the current iOS version of DaysHK.
Overview
DaysHK is built around manual date marking. It helps users track stay days in Hong Kong or elsewhere and review calendars, monthly statistics, and annual goal progress. No account is required.
What data is processed
Manual records contain the selected date and classification, such as Hong Kong or Other. If the user chooses to grant optional location access, the app also processes timestamps, time zone, coordinates, and derived location classifications to assist with daily summaries.
Optional location assistance
Location is not required for manual records. If enabled, it is used only to assist with determining whether the user is in Hong Kong and estimating stay duration. With Always access, iOS may supply significant-change and region events while the app is not open. DaysHK does not continuously track real-time location.
Storage and sharing
Records are stored locally on the device by default. They are not uploaded to a developer server, sold to third parties, or used for advertising tracking.
User controls
Users can decline location permission and continue using manual records. They can revoke location access at any time in iOS Settings and clear all local data from the DaysHK Settings screen.
Retention and deletion
Local records remain on the device until the user clears all data in DaysHK Settings or uninstalls the app. DaysHK cannot recover records after they are cleared or the app is removed.
